9 month stats update

A little overdue to add this information, lol. She had her nine month well visit last week and everything's looking good. Weigh's in at 18 lbs 6 oz (41%), stands 27.3 inches tall (40%), and has a head circumference of 17.25 inches (44%).

She was scheduled to get her #3 Hep B shot but the doctor decided to hold off because she's got another double ear infection! Only indication we had that something was up was that she woke up a couple times a night for 2-3 nights and her bottle consumption went to 3 a day (total 24oz). Otherwise she's a perfectly happy baby. At the appointment the doc wanted to hold off on giving her anything for her ears until she developed a fever or got super fussy. I wasn't real thrilled with waiting, but we did. All of three days went by before she needed the antibiotics. We've got her on them now and she's doing great.

Overall Evie's a perfect baby :-)

She's learned some new things lately, most good. She's pointing at things she wants or places she wants to go. She'll clap her hands, do "so big!," and vigorously shake her head "no." She still doesn't get onto her hands and knees by herself, but she will now stay in that position if you put her there. She goes longer periods of time now on hands and knees without crying. She has even started to rock! I'm thinking she'll be crawling within the next 3 weeks. She's also developed a big stranger anxiety. Takes her quite a while to warm up to someone new. She also occasionally cries when I drop her off at daycare or when I pick her up. If she's cries when I pick her up it's like she's thinking "OMG I can't believe you weren't here all day. I miiiiisssssed you!" Lol, endearing but it also breaks my heart that she's there all day.

We also start swim lessons in a couple weeks! I'm excited for Evie to get in the water, not so much for seeing myself in a swim suit...

For those of you who are interested, or like to plan ahead, we're thinking of doing a birthday celebration of sorts at Como park. Probably some sort of picnic near the mini golf. Nothing set in stone yet, but I'll keep you posted. Can't believe her first birthday is coming up so soon!!
