6 months old

I know this is a common theme, but I barely remember the past 6 months. Evie is as cute as ever. I guess some pictures would be nice to add for you all to see. Next post, I promise. Last week Evie finally said "da-da"! She'd been moving her mouth when we said it like she was trying, but didn't actually get the word out until last week. She 'talks' constantly. Now I'm pushing hard for ma-ma! Tomorrow's her 6 month appointment so I'll update with stats then.

Standing!

For very short periods of time Evie can support herself standing. This picture was actually taken a couple of weeks ago but things have been so crazy that I'm just now getting around to posting it! Anyways, shortly after this picture was taken she toppled over and started crying (bad mommy of me!), but all was good after a couple minutes of cuddling. Just one more testament to how fast she grows!

Happy Anniversay!

Today Shaun and I have been married two years. He says it seems like forever, but I say it seems like yesterday :-) He's a stinker.

5 months old

I know I say this every time, but, seriously...where has the time gone? I sit here looking at my little girl and am amazed on a daily basis with how much she can do! Sitting, rolling, standing, 'talking', flirting...it's all fun. She's still a peanut, probably 15 lbs or so, but she's getting so big! Ack, I completely understand why people say the baby years fly by.

A tooth!

Evie is now cutting her first tooth! Seems the first will be on the lower right side, not the front but I think the tooth next to that. It has meant almost a week of very little sleep around here and today she's definitely been showing the pain (screaming all day so far). We're trying different things to help her out but nothing's working so far. Please leave comments if you have any tips!

Due for a photo update

Lots of new close ups today. Evie is learning how to sit up very well. The ones above are some of her in her diaper sitting up all by herself.

These ones below are from Jane's house. It seems that right on her couch is a spot with great natural lighting that makes Evie's eyes pop!

Rock n' Roll

So Evie has finally rolled over on her own! I have been trying to get video of this but she seems to be a bit camera shy. She's only rolled over (tummy to back) 4 times in the past few days but at least it's something. I'll add video as soon as I can catch some!
